Indulge in a refined four-night, five-day escape into the heart of the British countryside, where tradition, sport, and understated luxury come together seamlessly. This extended experience is designed for those who wish not simply to visit the countryside, but to inhabit it, to move through its landscapes at a slower, more considered pace, and to leave with a genuine understanding of the world that sustains it.

Your journey begins with settling into our luxury rural accommodation before an evening at a classic British pub. From there, each day unfolds: a cross country clinic to build confidence with your hireling, the quintessential British hunt, a morning of clay pigeon shooting and a pub ride hack, and finally a tour of the hound kennels and a session exploring the rich history of the hunt. Throughout, exceptional locally sourced cuisine, thoughtful hospitality, and the quiet exhilaration of the English countryside accompany you at every turn.

We work with The Cotswold Hunt (est. 1858), situated in the stunning Cotswolds region. The land presents a dynamic terrain — rolling hills, varied hedgerows, and technical jumping opportunities create a faster-paced experience. Riders here encounter natural obstacles and canter/galloping stretches, jumping is not essential, and the experience remains rich for those who choose to bypass the jumps, however for those who choose to it is an exhilarating challenge, with plenty of jumping opportunities throughout the day.

Beyond the saddle, we are committed to immersing you in the authentic traditions and communities that sustain the British countryside. Our menus are built around produce sourced directly from local farms, our post-hunt lunches and some dinners are taken in traditional country pubs, every element of your stay is designed to offer not just an escape, but a deeper connection to the land, its traditions, and the enduring spirit of rural Britain.

Riding

Our hand-selected hirelings are carefully matched to each rider, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable partnership from the outset. An afternoon cross country clinic offers the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with your horse and build confidence ahead of the following day, where you’ll meet them tacked and ready on the hunt field for a day of adventure. Every detail is designed with guest comfort in mind, creating a supportive environment that balances enjoyment with the opportunity to challenge yourself.

Food & Drink

Food and drink are an integral part of the weekend, celebrating the best of British produce and hospitality. Evenings are spent enjoying hearty, home-cooked meals inspired by traditional recipes, while mornings begin with indulgent breakfasts, all made from fresh ingredients sourced from local farms. Along the way, guests will unwind with cosy pub lunches beside a crackling fire, accompanied by a well-earned, refreshing drink.

Culture

The weekend is about more than just time in the saddle—it’s an immersion into the unique and storied culture of the British countryside. Depending on the region and hunt you attend, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a range of traditional pursuits, from clay pigeon shooting and classic afternoon tea to discovering endangered rural crafts. These experiences offer a deeper connection to local heritage, with the chance to create a meaningful souvenir to take home, making your time with us as culturally enriching as it is memorable.

Lodging

Your four-night stay is set within a welcoming and private countryside retreat, offering both comfort and character. Each guest enjoys their own space, providing a quiet enviroment to relax and unwind after full days, while a cosy communal space offers the perfect setting to gather in the evenings over a drink and share stories from the day. We also take care of the finer details, with riding gear cleaned and polished ready for the hunt field following the jump clinic, ensuring everything is prepared for the next day’s adventure.
